World Autism Awareness Week

To commemorate World Autism Awareness Week, students across Fred Nicholson School have designed their own puzzle piece to celebrate their individuality. The puzzle piece is a symbol used to represent Autism and this year we wanted to show pupils how we all work together to create a wonderful and unique puzzle.

We want to thank all pupils for their great effort in designing them and taking part.

Red Nose Day – Friday 19th March

Dear Parents and Carers

Friday 19th March is Red Nose Day.

This year we will be keeping it low key and will not be collecting money, but we do not want pupils to miss out on the fun.

This year the theme is ‘Funny is power’ and we would like to do something to make each other smile.  Pupils are welcome to bring in a joke or a picture during the week that is appropriate for school.  We can put them up in their zone and use these to brighten up each other’s day.

There will be activities for pupils in school on the day and some activities will be sent home for pupils join in with at home if they wish to.  Pupils are welcome to wear red clothing on the day in school, if those at home would like to wear red they are welcome to share photographs of themselves in their red clothing with their class teams.
